  Balder Series is an extensive array of power units, battery cabinets and accessories all mixed together to ensure the best UPS power protection and back-up. Ranging from 1K to 10K, Balder UPS serves as a central component perfectly integrated in the protection architecture of a business and commercial environment.
  
  Keep it on-line at all times
  Dedicated to high end electric systems and powerful IT applications, Balder series is constructed on double conversion, on-line technology. This high availability design, in which the inverter continuously provides regulated power output, means the UPS can be used to protect equipment that is extremely sensitive to the slightest variation in voltage or frequency.
  
  Rack or tower design
  Balder offers efficient power quality and performance in a compact footprint. Has a flexible design allowing the units to be configured for rack-mounting (2U) or free-standing applications.
  
  High efficiency up to 96%
  Balder can also be operated in very high-efficiency eco-mode, in case of 6KW and 10KW models the efficiency goes up to 96%. This reduces power use and cost and the cooling required as units create lower heat, critical to the longer life of key components such as batteries.
  
  2 position LCD screen
  Balder has a LCD screen that provides detailed information on the UPS status, alerting users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime. The screen can be adjusted to fit the position in which the UPS is at any moment, rack installed or in tower stand.
  
  Internal and external batteries
  Integrated batteries provide compact design to the UPS solution (Balder 1K to 3K) which does not require an external battery cabinet, thus saving rack space. CSB batteries utilized in this device offer high durability and long periods of autonomy. For the power options that cannot accommodate internal batteries (Balder 6K to 10K) and for those that can accept additional external batteries (Balder 1K-3K) battery cabinets are recommended to fit the specific back-up requirements.

  Powerful charger for batteries
  Balder Series UPS unit internal batteries are supplied with powerful chargers that are efficient in achieving maximum service life and short charging times. The charger is controlled by a CPU with APFC feature that ensures low ripple current and is programmed to support 3 accurate charging management stages.
  
  Deep discharge protection for batteries
  Before a battery is fully depleted of the electric energy, the deep discharge protection is triggered. This over-discharging can significantly influence the battery’s electrical characteristics. Balder has a protection that identifies this threat and disconnects the loads to avoid deep discharge and to prolong the life of batteries installed.
  
  High-rate batteries for heavy loads
  The high energy density of the nJoy batteries (HR09122F) inside the UPS unit will provide the perfect fit with large load electrical equipment from critical environments. This type of battery will endure high rate discharge for a shorter amount of time, in contrast with regular batteries that are designed to discharge with minimal load at a much slower rate.
  
  Hot swappable batteries
  The batteries inside the UPS unit and the appropriate external battery cabinet are hot swappable which means they can be safely removed and replaced without the need to shut down the entire system. This feature provides uninterrupted service to the connected equipment that rely on the UPS system.
  
  Multiple protections available
  Balder has multiple internal systems that will shield the connected equipment from unfortunate events, like risk of fire and damage. The OVP, OCP, OTP, SCP and surge level immunity are systems integrated in accordance with international standards and will protect the electrical architecture from downtime and maintenance.
  
  Software management
  The software management allows for numerous remote management features, such as remote shutdown of networked computers as well as the virtual machines. Power event notifications are sent to administrators computer or phone via email, text message or an instant message.
  
  Communication Ports
  Balder has multiple communication ports available to monitor the UPS activity and the feeding power behavior. Taking advantage of these features, a standard monitoring option is provided through RS232, USB or a complex option can be put into place through the SNMP card available
  
  SNMP/WEB card option
  Intelligent port for an optional smart card allows remote software management. UPS monitoring on-site applications continually watch for warning signs of future trouble, such as deteriorating performance or an overheating battery, and send real-time notification when potential issues develop.
  
  NAS compatibility with our UPS
  This UPS has a communication interface compatible with popular NAS systems through USB HID. The main benefit of NAS-UPS integration is that the UPS prevents data loss and corruption by allowing the NAS devices to shut down properly during power interruption.
  
  EPO function
  EPO or the Emergency Power Off feature is an important control mechanism that can power down an entire system of UPS units from a single point. In case of emergency as floods, fires or gas leaking, the site might not be available and a remote EPO control station is the safest option to rapidly react and cut down electrical power.
  
  Programmable outlets
  Balder offers the option, through selectable critical/non-critical outlets, to choose which connected piece of equipment is critical and which isn’t so in case of a power outage the non-critical equipment will be shut down first. This feature can be set using software management or directly on the UPS meniu available on the LCD screen.
  
  Load spikes become smooth
  The UPS unit can withstand load spikes up to 140% from rated power for approximately 1.5 seconds. These spikes can be sustained without any errors in case an electric motor is connected to the UPS.
  
  Terminal block wiring
  The high-rated UPS options from the series (Balder 6K and 10K) have to be hardwired directly into the electrical panel at the location by a professional. Terminal blocks keep connections much more secure and safe for the entire IT architecture that relies on the clean power provided by Balder.
